Village Inn - Iowa City

My chicken fried steak was just alright. My friend ordered the French toast breakfast, and the eggs were simply ordered yet came with thin whites. We mentioned this to the waitress, and she said it was easy to make a mistake since they should have been cooked over medium if she wanted them that way. We definitely won't be coming back here.

The service at the restaurant seemed excellent, but I was actually looking at their property, hoping that they appreciate the elevated trees, as they provide safe parking and a clear view of the road.

This is not the best place for takeout or delivery. I placed an order and spoke to someone who assured me they would include ketchup and hot sauce in the bag. However, when I received my order, those items were missing, and the orange juice I ordered wasn’t included either. When I called to inform them about the missing items, the response I got was to either have the delivery person return to pick it up or for me to come and collect it myself. There was no offer of an apology or any effort to rectify the situation.

I ordered a delivery from this iowa City Village gas house and they left 6 items so that only a part of my meal was delivered, additionally I contacted customer service 5 separate paints to get my bill adjusted soo worse!

Village Inn has the best pancakes in the world! And the breakfast bowl with potatoes and hollandaise sauce is outstanding. I go to Village Inn whenever I visit the Midwest. They have a very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended!
