Conservatory - Inverness

Beautiful hotel, they just don't look too close. Everything looks great far away, but looks a little worn out when you look close. the bed was like a brick with absolutely no give / bounce, but oh my word was the black pudding and haggis not amazing, the best breakfast I might have ever had on vacation!

Have stayed several times which must say something! The staff are really welcoming and friendly. Rooms have everything you need, are very comfortable and clean. The beds and linen are excellent quality ensuring a fab night's sleep. Breakfast in the main hotel is buffet style but the food was all lovely and fresh and not at all dried out. What's not to like?

We spent the afternoon at the hotel for a gathering of four. The staff was friendly and attentive, which we appreciated. However, we felt that there could have been a few more sandwiches; there were only six finger sandwiches for the four of us. While there was an abundance of cakes—including four types: skorone, millionaire shortbread, strawberry tart, and caramel loaf—there were only two servings of the mango cream dessert. The quality of the cakes and sandwiches was good, and the tea was promptly refilled after our request. We had hoped that being at a four-star hotel would offer a bit more of a wow factor.

We met for a swim. The pool was small but satisfactory. It was a bit cool, but that was okay. The jacuzzi was nice, although it could have been a bit warmer. Our two-course lunch was excellent—beautifully prepared and very tasty. We all felt it was really good. The service was also outstanding. We would be happy to return.

We dined here during a cruise and were pleasantly surprised by the experience. Despite the large space filled with tables and guests, the service was remarkably quick and efficient. The food was delicious, especially the soup. We also enjoyed having a beer with our meal. Overall, we were very impressed by how well they managed to serve such a large number of customers.
