The Exchange - Inverclyde

I had a challenging experience at this restaurant. I have visited many times in the past, but this was my first visit in about 5 years. The food was good, but not outstanding, and the staff were all friendly and efficient. However, something was missing. We arrived at 7:30pm on a Thursday and the restaurant was full. By 8:30pm, we were the only table left and by 9:00pm, we were being offered coffee and last orders. Half of the staff had already left and the remaining staff had their coats on. It seems like the new normal is to eat early and go home. It was not the lively "night out" experience I had been hoping for.

Great venue for our Christmas lunch! The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Christmas music playing quietly in the background didn't drown our conversation even over the long table. Would recommend for a good place to eat and enjoy. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch

We had a wonderful Christmas dinner at this restaurant. The beef was incredibly tender and flavorful, and they always serve a generous portion of fudge cake for dessert. The service was excellent, and the overall atmosphere was lovely. I would highly recommend this place for a dine-in meal, especially for dinner. The price per person falls within the range of £30–40, which is reasonable for the quality of food and service. Overall, I would give this restaurant a perfect 5 out of 5 for food, service, and atmosphere.
