Bidrage med feedbackWhat a fantastic restaurant! The food was delicious, and the presentation was impressive. The service was also excellent. We enjoyed the lentil sambusa and the vegetarian combo.
The food arrived fairly quickly, and the portion sizes were generous for the price. Each dish was served on a large platter—about 1.5 feet wide—covered in spongy bread with heaps of food scattered across it. We had to ask how to eat our meal, and our server (who might have been the owner) was more than happy to explain. She was incredibly friendly throughout our visit and engaged us in some interesting conversation. Neither of us could finish even half of our meals before we were full, and we had to assure our server that the food was delicious, just too much for one sitting (although we happily took the leftovers home). My lamb dish was very tasty, packed with flavor and spice. While not all of the twelve or so other dishes were my favorites, many were quite enjoyable. However, the spongy bread didn't sit well with me—it had a slightly odd fermented taste. Still, overall, I would rate the food at a solid 4 stars. Given the large portions, reasonable prices, and exceptional service, I would say this was an all-around 5-star experience!
Came for dinner based on the good reviews and wasn’t disappointed. Got the lamb combo for 2 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend. Cute atmosphere. Lots of parking.
Went here with three great guys. I was the only one had Ethiopian food. This was a test. One gentleman serves the table. Kind and responsive. My friend ordered the chai. He loved it. Ordered several sambusa's for the table. With a touch of the hot sauces, they were very tasty. Then, the main courses of combos came out. Good food. The injera was soft, tasty, and fresh. Every morsel was gone. This was a great experience and a day later, we are still talking about the food. Be careful of the mitmita. It's flaming hot but oh so good.
This restaurant is fantastic! It's an ideal spot for vegetarians and anyone looking to satisfy their culinary cravings. We arrived for lunch absolutely hungry, and we truly enjoyed every bite of our meal. The fermented injera, along with all the delicious sides, is not only incredibly tasty but also healthy. The owners have always been very friendly during our visits. Major Ethiopian Restaurant is a must-visit in Indianapolis. Enjoy!
