Whit's Frozen Custard - Independence

The custard at this place is always outstanding! The service is impressive as well. At Danatos, you'll find seating available, and the ambiance gives off the charm of a traditional ice cream parlor.

I was informed that there would be a ten-minute wait, but we ended up waiting twenty minutes before we had to request a refund on our order. During that time, the machine was vibrating the whole room, and it was so noisy that customers in Donato's were voicing their complaints too.

In addition to the standard flavors, there’s a flavor of the day, a flavor of the week, and a flavor of the month. If you visit when one of those unique flavors appeals to you, you're in for a treat. You can always check their website or drop by a store to see the flavor schedule, allowing you to plan your visit if you're after something specific. However, I would really appreciate the option to order my favorite flavor or creation anytime during my visit, which I see as the only downside.

Whit's Frozen Custard exceeded all my expectations! As someone from the East Coast, where custard is very popular, I was initially disappointed that I couldn’t find it in Kentucky. However, the service and the custard here are absolutely outstanding. I will certainly return frequently with friends and family. You can take this review from an East Coaster to the bank!
