This place has been over a century, opening in 1919. always tamal and chili and never disappointed. they can savour their chili juicy, suppe or dry, with or without boning, among many other add-ons. they serve not only chili, but when they go to a place with the main course with 100 years behind, they can not go wrong in the rule.
Didn't know what to expect, but hey, truman ate here and loved it. old school feeling, another take chili that was delicious. tamale also phenomenal. I want to see the stop.
This place came highly recommended by a friend who grew up on the opposite. while I don't get their famous chili at the end, they have an unlimited taco deal that was pretty good. tacos were standard midwest style so only meat, cheese and salat and nothing super amazing. where it is really good, but is when they add some of their Jalapeno relish and. so damn good.
There are few places where you can say you have been dining for 40 years and nothing has changed. McDonald's is successful because it consistently serves the same food no matter where you go. Dixon's is similar in that it has been serving the same beloved dishes since 1919. Started by Vergne Dixon, the restaurant has remained true to his vision of providing guests with a memorable dining experience. Despite the challenges of staffing, Dixon's continues to offer excellent service and delicious food. While it may not have a trendy menu or boast exceptional cuisine, Dixon's is a family-owned restaurant that serves classic dishes just like Mr. Dixon intended. It is a true family legacy that should not be missed. I look forward to dining at Dixon's for many more years to come!
