Bidrage med feedbackWe made a reservation a month in advance for our 43rd Anniversary. Upon arrival, the hostess informed us that there were no available tables on the patio, despite there being four empty tables visible. It seemed as though she may have been instructed to reserve the outdoor tables for groups of 4 or more. After pointing out the empty tables, she eventually allowed us to sit on the porch. Our waiter, whom I believe was named Brad, was overly intrusive and attempted to be humorous, although it did not quite hit the mark. The Brie appetizer was delicious, as was the Tuna Poke bowl. Unfortunately, the Venison Ossobucco was too dry to finish, which was a disappointment. Overall, we were not satisfied with our experience and would not choose to dine here again.
My family went out to celebrate a birthday over lunch at this restaurant. It was not very busy since we went early in the week. We had my wife's elderly mother and her visiting brother's wife with us. We requested to be seated on the lakeside patio in the shade because our elderly mother was feeling hot. However, the seating was very tight for 5 people and our mother ended up being seated in the sun. We had to rearrange the chairs later to put her in the shade. When our mother had trouble seeing the menu, the waitress was not very helpful with suggestions or descriptions of the meals. She ended up ordering the Short Rib meal, which turned out to be a single rib that was the length of the entire platter. We had expected a rack of short ribs and ended up sharing her food on top of our own meals. Although the Short Rib was delicious, the waitress should have warned us that it was a huge portion, especially for an elderly lady. The meals that the wives ordered also had issues - the salad with Cajun chicken was ok, but the chicken was coated in a cheap liquid Cajun sauce and overcooked, making it very salty. The lettuce wrap came with only a few tiny leaves of lettuce and the fillings were chopped too large to make a proper wrap. Overall, the meals were not worth the price. Although the Short Rib was the best dish, it was too big for one person. Additionally, during our meal, two umbrellas on the patio lifted up unexpectedly due to a slight updraft from the lake, causing a safety hazard for nearby patrons. The hostess and service person were unable to properly secure the umbrellas, adding to the overall negative experience. In the future, we would choose to dine at one of the local pubs for a better value and experience.
We had a wonderful dining experience at Lakeside Chophouse in Waterton during our honeymoon. The menu had a great selection and we shared a delicious Flatbread appetizer. The Hunter Chicken and Venison Lasagna were perfectly cooked and very flavorful. The portions were large so come hungry! The chocolate cake for dessert was rich and indulgent. The service was top-notch with our server being attentive and professional. The restaurant manager, Kelly, was actively involved in ensuring a smooth operation and high standards from the staff. We felt welcomed and safe as a queer couple in a town that is not particularly LGBTQ+ friendly. We would definitely return for another fantastic meal in the future.
Nice evening for a pricier meal in the area! Prime rib burger and lobster linguine were our favorites! Fantastic and yummy.
The restaurant is located with a view of the lake and a large outdoor dining area. The brie appetizer was good. I had the filet which was cooked and seasoned well. Their wine list was good but didn’t offer any local wines from BC. Their cabernet by the glass was exceptional. The wait staff was very helpful. They set up heaters for outside.
