Thankfully, hototay soup satisfied our cravings for some soup. It came in a big bowl that served 3 pax. Tasted good, not salty; had some vegetables, a few dumplings and slices of pork. Despite a huge demand on their opening day, we were served. It's good that they're using ceramic bowls, not melamine. They're open daily from 8:00am to 8:00pm.
My recent experience at Kong Kee Pavia was quite disappointing. From beginning to end, the visit was marred by inadequate service and lackluster food. The staff was inattentive to our needs and even managed to get our orders wrong. The food was mediocre and not worth the high prices. The flavors were a far cry from what Kong Kee used to offer during its peak. Additionally, the service was painfully slow. When we inquired about our order, they seemed unaware that we had even placed one. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone unless you're looking to waste two or three hours—and a significant amount of money—on food that you could easily prepare at home.
The staff is incredibly accommodating, particularly when it comes to online orders. The delivery personnel are polite and helpful. As always, the takeout Chinese food is excellent!
It's been 33 years since I last tasted Kong Kee siopao, and I miss it dearly! I often reminisce about it. If anyone visits Iloilo, don't forget to try the delicious steamed buns from Guang Ji!
