La Fattoria - Idstein

It has been years since I have eaten here but as I recall, the food was great and the ambiance was very romantic. Idstein is a very lovely village with a lot of half-timbered houses without a great deal of tourists. I recommend the 3 noodle special. Each noodle, ravioli, tortellini, and rigatoni, comes with its own sauce served on the side. What a great combination. For anyone traveling near Frankfurt and/or Wiesbaden, I really recommend making a detour to Idstein and having dinner here.

We live in Idstein and have visited this Restaurant a few times over the years. Last night was a perfect example of the terrible service we have received every time. Firstly the restaurant was not very full and most of the guests either were already eating or were finished enjoying drinks and conversation. We sat at a table pretty much central and waited 20 min until a snippy waitress offered to take our drink order, we stated that we would also like to order food since we already knew what we wanted. She denied this stating that the food would take awhile anyways. We ordered drinks incl. a alcohol free beer for the designated driver. The drinks took 20 minutes for two wines and two beers. Both beers with alcohol. After we called the waitress back to request the correct beer she said she had delivered what we had ordered. The customer was lying. Another ten Min. to get the correct beer which was just placed on the table without comment. Needless to say, we asked for the check, drank our drinks and left. That was the last time we have given this restaurant a chance. And will never recommend eating there. PS around the corner we found a really great place and spent a really enjoyable evening with super food and even better service.

Vleesgerecht was zonder meer uitstekend. Vlees rosé gebakken, heerlijke saus, lekker lokaal biertje. Mijn vrouw had tortellini met spinazie. Ook al voortreffelijk. Locatie ook prima, rustig buiten zitten aan lokale wandelstraat. Aanrader!

Mit Freunden am Freitag Abend in La Fattoria: ausgesprochen nette und persönliche Atmosphäre, sehr gute Weinempfehlung und tolles, leckeres Abendessen (sowohl von der Tagesgerichts- als auch von der normalen Karte)- eine unbedingte Empfehlung!

Regelmäßig wöchentlich sind wir hier und fühlen uns immer "a casa" - Essen, Weine, Service und Ambiente sowieso sind immer allererste Sahne ... und das sempre sempre seit 22 Jahren.- Am Freitag 12.05. 2017 haben wir mal wieder ein Überraschungsmenü bestellt - vom Allerfeinsten und mitten in Italien sehr sehr authentisch angekommen ;-)Die Weinempfehlungen (it.) muss man definitiv lange suchen - einfach ein Hochgenuss!!!
