This place is sooo good. Excellent chocolate croissant....and the sausage pepperjack croissant is just the thing for munchies, pre/post hiking...or a hangover! Also they roast their own crunchy coated almonds. We rationed them as they were so good. We came back to stock up before heading out of town but they had just closed and our hearts were crushed. That sausage croissant is haunting my dreams and I hope to get one again someday.
Stopped by here while walking down Miner Street and am so glad we did. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the baked goods were delicious. You must get the cinnamon roll and I suggest you heat it up. It was one of the best I've ever had. We also had the Napoleon which was amazing and got a loaf of the Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread to go (also great). All in all a great little bakery in the hart of Idaho Springs. Make sure you stop by and grab whatever's suggested!
Came in after a hike, wanting a quick snack before our Beau Jo's waitlist. From the exterior of the place, our impression of the place was hopeful based on a similar named restaurant in Colo Springs (no relation, turns out). The pastries did look appetizing and our almond croissant was tasty on the outside. While they warmed it up, it was still cold on the inside, which detracted from the overall experience. The inside of the restaurant has an mom-and-pop feel, but it is also very cluttered. Too much of the operation is on display. They may have excellent pastries, if warmed up completely, but we will not be back and cannot recommend it to others.
Should have espresso drinks. Minimum $5.00 purchase for credit card but one pastry costs $4.00 : yummy pastry and great customer service!
