2 Carpenter's Grill - Idaho Springs

Wow! We heard about this place from our kids who went and loved it. After a lovely hike up to St. Mary’s glacier, we stopped by for an early lunch. The place is low frills, but the bbq and sides were AWESOME! Very friendly staff, nice beers on tap and the place was hopping by the time we left. Highly recommend!!

I walked from my motel and was greeted pleasantly by the staff, and my meal was more than I could eat in one sitting so I had, much to my delight, yummy leftovers for the next day... everything was well prepared and delicious also!!!

The food here was great! The decor is not much to look at, but don’t let that fool you. The food is so tasty and well prepared. The side options are so delicious. The staff was so helpful and friendly. This place is a great stop when you are on the road outside of Denver.

Food came out hot, fast. Had half smoked chicken and smoked beans. I do a lot of smoking and tgis was very good. Staff were friendly. Local beer on site. Lots of options. Friend had brisket and sausage, he enjoyed it very much. Price was good. 11.99 chicken one side. A hidden gem...stop by for great smoked bbq
