Blue Wave - Idaho Falls

I had high hopes for this place... It definitely feels like a local dive bar. We arrived for an early dinner, and there were quite a few families enjoying their meals and playing pool.

My wife and I visited the restaurant on June 2, 2023, after hearing good things about the food. Unfortunately, we never got a chance to taste it. The waitress attended to two other groups before us, and we ended up waiting a long time without being served.

I ordered a grilled bacon, tomato, and cheese sandwich along with an iced tea. Unfortunately, the iced tea was very diluted, and my sandwich was essentially just toast with no cheese, featuring only quartered toppings.

The same feeling i got when i walking into grandma's house as a kid.....You just feel welcomed. Sometimes they are busy and you have to wait for a few minutes but its well worth the minimal wait. They are friendly. They are happy to see you even if they dont know you. Thank You. I know this atmosphere doesnt happen by accident.Food: 5/5

I hadn't visited this place in a long time, and it felt like stepping back in time. It's primarily a bar with tables scattered around the room. I ordered the Hot Pastrami Sandwich while my husband had the Mushroom Swiss Burger. Both dishes were served hot and tasted fantastic. The hand-cut fries were delicious, though a bit greasy. Our waitress did a great job, even as the crowd started to pick up. The domestic draft beer is reasonably priced at $3.50 a pint. As for the food prices, they are about what you would expect these days—$11.00 for the burger and $11.50 for the fries. Overall, it was a good meal; just keep in mind that it’s mainly a bar setting.
