Oliver's Café - Ibadan

I had a decent experience at Oliver's. When I arrived, there was no crowd, so my food order came out quickly. We ordered Poundo and Special Rice. The atmosphere felt more like a bar or lounge rather than a café, so if you're looking for a traditional café experience, Oliver's might not be the best choice. The drinks menu was quite limited, with only a few non-alcoholic options available. The dining area is divided into two sections: a larger outdoor space and a smaller indoor space.

Oliver's Cafe was a delightful surprise. The meals are affordable, the bar offers a wide selection of cocktails, and the staff was fantastic. The restaurant's atmosphere was just right. Overall, I really liked the design.

Visiting this place over a few months, I think I’ll say it’s one of the top five spots to visit in Bodija and it’s environs. The food they serve here is everything to look forward to. From their Singapore noodles, Stir-fried noodles, jollof rice, peppered gizzard, catfish peppersoup, and others. I assure you that’s it’s one of the best in Bodija. Their prices are very pocket-friendly as you’d get value for every penny you’re paying for. I wish I took pictures of the various things I’ve had over time, I’ll most likely update that soon. Their waiters are nice and they wear a charming smile while attending to your requests. They also have an in-house DJ that performs a few days in the week, so you’re guaranteed to enjoy some nice jams. The only setback here is how the place gets messy whenever it rains. The trampoline leaks so you might have to change seats as a result of that. Overall, you’ll definitely enjoy your time out here.

Oliver’s Cafe is structured into three distinct areas: the outdoor bar and football viewing space, an indoor section for private meetings and work, and a lounge area for those who enjoy drinks and football. Their yam and egg dish is divine and nearly impossible to finish, while the pancakes are exceptional, and the dodo and egg is quite tasty as well. Given its location and ambiance, Oliver's offers reasonable prices. For instance, the English breakfast in the last frame is only #1,200, plus #300 for a large kettle of tea. However, the service can be quite slow, and the staff seem to lack proper training for their roles.

Oliver's Grill is one of the best hangout spot in Ibadan!! Such a relaxing place to stay and enjoy with friends! They sell different varieties of food, including but not limited to English breakfast, Chinese meals, stir-fry noodles, spring rolls, chicken and chips, coleslaw, barbeque catfish, fried plantains, sandwich, catfish and goat meat pepper soup barbeque croaker, chicken wings, suya, shawarma, beer, soda, tequila, rum, vodka and much more! They basically serve everything here. You can stay inside the restaurant, lounge or viewing area. For more privacy, I would suggest the lounge or the restaurant. They basically open at anytime. I and my friends weren't required to wear masks inside. Be careful though, the waiter added more money to my bill (twice) and it was only after I calculated it myself that I noticed it.
