Bidrage med feedbackGood if you need a ramen hit in the local area. Preferred ramen place in Hurstville as it's much better than Ajisen Ramen on Forest Rd.
I'll say first up, I did not sit in for the Sushi Train experience. My feedback is on the actual restaurant side. I make this point as you do actually have a choice. Now the decor is typical of Japanese franchise chains with the usual wooden & Japanese furniture etc. It's clean and certainly is busy. The service was good, but not great. I felt like they were rushed, and had little time for pleasantries. The food was good, but a bit slow. I ordered a Chicken Teriyaki Udon soup with a Salad + Gyoza set. Ideally all should come out at the same time, but it was the salad first, udon a little later and the gyoza did not come out till the udon was all but finished. It was all prepared and cooked well and tasted as it should. Nothing truly amazing, but nothing horrid or not right. Add two Asahi and it ended up being about $25 each. Not that cheap ... but ok.
Love coming here each week, as they have an a la carte menu as well as a sushi train. Must trys are the salmon aburi and the mini curry set is great for a small tasting plate; so you can try everything else on the train! Staff are always very friendly and if you're waiting for your meal to come out, you can always have a sushi train plate as a quick bite whilst you wait.
My family and I are regulars hereWe come at least once every fortnight if not every week.
