There are actually location one is inside Westfield Hurstville and the other is at the Hurstville train station. Anyway, I've tried both and they are good. I particularly like their fried chicken. Its crunchy and salty but with a hint of sweetness. I could eat that all day. Their pork chop is not so bad too and the mince pork rice. Service is fast. Even if there is a long queue you don't have to wait long for your order. The smell of the place is always enticing. Better cover your nose when you are out grocery shopping and has no plan of eating out. It will be irresistible.
Love the variety, speed and portion sizes. A little bit pricey but acceptable. Would have liked it even more if they used environmentally friendly containers.
Experience here is highly basic on your choice of dish. Service is fast paced, especially during peak lunch time so don't expect any social exchanges. Orders are taken at the counter, usually a light box meal or rice with 3 sides and you can add a sweet tea for $1. You're given a ticket and pick up your food when your number is called. <br/ <br/ I normally select the fried eggplant with the fried fish (which can be dry) , prawn with egg or fried chicken. The dishes are hit and miss. I didn't love the pork and vegetable or the sweet sticky meat. Some are salty, some dry, some too sweet and some oily so it really matters which options you couple from what's available. Lived the little bit if pickled radish on top. <br/ <br/ There are also prepackaged cold dishes and other food options.
Incredible hidden little gem that I found by mistake and was not disappointed. I'm deeply in love with their deep fried chicken with extremely delicious light and well seasoned batter. Every bite is just perfection. Pork stomach with cabbage was certainly a huge surprise for my pallet. The cabbage was pickled which gave the dish a nice hint of sourness, the pork stomach was lovely and soft. It matched so well with the cabbage, an absolute treat for my pallet. Bean curd with pork mince and chilli, Thee bean curd was so soft and well coated in a soy sauce. The mince through it was an outstanding hit of flavour and added a good amount of salt to it. Good hint of chilli through the dish as well. I really enjoyed this little gem and always look forward to eating here. Go check out my YouTube channel for a full vlog on Cho Express [hidden link]
