Applebee's Grill - Huntsville

A nice spot for lunch. The place is clean, there was no wait, and the staff was friendly. The food was just average. The total for one adult and two kids came to $33, not including tip.

Food was awful I had to drown my steak in sauce and it was over cooked. The mashed potatoes were cold and unseasoned. The service was poor. She got offended I asked for another drink and rarely checked on us.

I’m a week postpartum after a c section birth, so I sent my 2 kids to grab my pick up order on DoorDash. Dude at to-go station would not let them take the food unless I pressed “I picked up my order” which was so unorthodox because the food was not given to them yet. I wasn’t going to press it unless he gave them the food. I had to literally face time my son and show the to-go person that I was about to press the “picked up order” button unless he gave them the food first. But then he proceeds to say “I can’t see” “it looks like it’s been delivered”, “show the itemized the receipt” like how many pick up orders is there for ‘Jade?’ at 12pm on a Saturday morning. He then goes to back and finally grabs my food after a long 20-30 minutes. My order was ready to be picked up at 12:15pm and he barely gives it to them at 12:47. Now I’m stuck at home with soggy food because he wanted to act like top flight security. I worked at so many restaurants before but I never had to go through so much 3-step verification, confirmations and receipts and buttons just for a dasher or pickup person to grab their food. I appreciate him trying to protect my food or whatever but it’s like he took my order to the heart. Don’t you just pull up, say the name and show the confirmation receipt and it’s done deal? I gotta FaceTime yall now?

Overall, it was a fantastic experience! The staff were incredibly friendly, the prices were excellent, and the food was simply amazing!

I made a to go order with the cashier, Victoria, and it was a very pleasant experience. She had the best customer service skills I'd seen in a long time.
