Jonathan's - Huntington Village

Oh how sad. We are regulars, but haven't been in about 2months. Alex (who is amazing)was on vacation. Maybe the chef was as well. I can't remember when I have had a worse meal. From the beginning with the waitress who was sweet and meant well calling us all lovey! Really?? The service was awful and it was a Tuesday evening, the place was empty. Now, about the food. Diner quality. There were 4 of us. We all had different appetizers and entrees. Pasta tasted like it was out of a can, salad dressing was also tasting bottled, steak quality was really poor and halibut was also not good. Everything was terribly over salted. Not one of us had more than 2 bites. We did have 3 drinks and 2 bottles of wine (which was a waste because we didn't eat). When we complained, they offered to re do everything. After waiting too long to be served, we declined to have more less than mediocre food again. We obviously complained and the Alex stand in manager took one entree off the bill. With that being said the bill was still $580. Sorry Alex, we think you are wonderful, but Jonathan's is off our list. I've never written a bad review of a restaurant, but this was disturbing.

Marlon our waiter made our Anniversary dinner so wonderful. He went above and beyond tin providing outstanding service throughout our entire dinner and dessert. 5+ stars for Marlon!!!

Jonathan's remains one of my favorite restaurants. The staff is professional and helpful. The food is well prepared and nicely presented. We began our meal with a number of appetizers for the table to share. The soft shelled crab (dinner portion available as well) was crispy and light. There were 6 artichokes in the appetizer portion making it quite “sharable”. The Branzino was fresh and light. The pasta/lobster tail special as delicious and very reasonably priced.

This was our first time dining at Jonathan's and I have to say it was amazing! Not only was their food delicious but their service was top tier too! Special thank you to the wonderful staff for going above and beyond to accommodate our party.

Amazing food and service on a busy Mothers Day. My 2 yo started getting antsy and wanted out of the high chair. The host/mgr came over to cheer him up and took him for a tour of the kitchen. He had a positive demeanor when he returned.
