J Christopher's Pizza-pasta - Humble

The new owners could use some guidance in restaurant management. When we arrived, there were 12 clearly empty and cleaned tables, yet we were told there would be a 10-15 minute wait. I'm not sure what the reasoning was behind that. After about 10 minutes, we were finally seated, but it took our waiter nearly 15 minutes to even acknowledge us. The only reason we got any attention at all was because my husband gave the manager a pointed look when it became clear that no one had greeted us at our table. A basic rule of restaurant service is to greet guests within 2-3 minutes at the very least. We understand that delays can happen, but with so many open tables and a wait, it just doesn't make sense. I really miss the excellent service we used to enjoy here.

I just learned today that the restaurant has new owners again. The previous two owners allowed me to remove the salad from my lunch orders since I don’t eat it and the pasta is filling enough for me, and they didn’t charge me for it. However, the new owner refused my request, so now I'm paying for something I won’t eat. It's often the little things that contribute to great customer service. Additionally, they’ve also reduced the amount of chicken served. It used to be a full chicken breast on the pasta, but now it’s only about half. Because of this, I won’t be returning for lunch anymore.

First time to try this place since Italiano was closed and we were just visiting in Kingwood and so disappointed with the food! I ordered eggplant Parmesan and you couldn?t even see the eggplant or the Mozzarella cause pieces are so small and smothered with sauce while spaghetti that came with it was hard.My husband ordered spaghetti if you want meat you have to pay extras for one small meatball $1)and 4 pieces of 1/2 inch sliced sausage $2.25)and the melted cheese on top $0.75c) My friend ordered spaghetti and the sauce was so pitiful it barely covered 1/4 of the spaghetti! She asked for extra sauce paid extra $1.50 for a saucer of sauce which was probably just 2 tablespoons! We shouldn?t have to ask for extra sauce at all if it was served right in the first place! Never again!

Wow, we ordered a thin crust and a deep dish last night and they both had amazing flavor. The pizza was ready when they said it would be, and the service we received was just wonderful! Will be back again a little earlier next time to check out the happy hour!

The pizza isn’t what it used to be. The thin crust is now too thick, and the toppings on the supreme pizza aren’t distributed well; they come in big chunks. The sauce tastes different, and the cheese is thicker than before. I’ve heard that the ownership has changed, so I expected the pizza to remain the same. I’ve been going there for over 30 years, and it used to be fantastic. I was really disappointed.
