Rouladen, deer goulash, salmon with spinach, rosemary spices, potato gratin, rose cabbage, red cabbage. To dessert vanilla food, panacotta and cold plums from the glass. The whole food was tastefully miserable. No speech could be fresh. Loveless, no salad as an appetizer. Price: €25.50 per person. Absolutely overpriced. Oh yes, as an appetizer, a plate appeared later on with filled peppers, crackers with different creams, etc. (that looked appetizing) Had nothing to do with a great buffet for Christmas.
The Husen Mill is an old, very beautifully preserved water mill. The atmosphere in the deeply snowy valley of the night was beautiful. The tables lovingly covered, in the fireplace a fire burst. There was a New Year's Eve buffet that was set up in a side room. The soup was served at the table. She tasted excellent. At the buffet there were 3 hot meats, (benders, wild, cashiers) and a ragout. Cold plates with small carvings. As a supplement there were roast potatoes and potato gratin. Vegetables, salads, small snacks and cheese rounded off the buffet. As dessert there were red grütze with vanilla sauce (very tasty) We were often in the Husenmühle and felt comfortable there. The flame cakes are all highly recommended, even the Lachburger and the rosemary medallions are very delicious. Pommes, croquettes or the like are in vain on the menu. Instead, there are roast potatoes or foil potatoes.
The restaurant is a former water mill. Quietly located, large parking lot and very cozy. The fireplace is also a highlight, was warm and pleasant. Unfortunately multiple owner changes, therefore with mixed feelings to sample eating . In the entrance area directly received and accompanied to the table. Service can still work on some things, otherwise very friendly and accommodating. Food was very abundant, as salad stood for everyone a salad buffet to choose from with fresh mixed salad as well as dressing. Drinks were fast with us. Food was hot and much and very delicious. Who likes Gyros comes at his expense. Also the remaining meat is soft and perfectly prepared. A round of Ouzo went to the house before and after dinner.
Actually, an ideal place for a restaurant of the slightly upscale kitchen, a beautiful old half-timbered house, but...., about 17. 30, no other guests, but a total of 4 persons staff, a cola, as well as Cola Light were ordered, normally the drink is marked, ice cubes, or lemon slice, misdisplay, result, confused.... then a salad, peasant, dressing, also finished, came to the tsaziki, old bread, briefly heated above the stove, but almost 5 euros for a small portion! We stayed there for dinner without reservation. That wasn't a problem. The waiter immediately assigned us outside in the yard, in nice weather, a table with sunshade. But as the floor was very uneven, the table was constantly shaking back and forth when it was supported. The seat cushions were comfortable but not completely clean anymore. The drinks came very fast, with no drinks card, which can become very difficult if you want to have something special at the waiter can already be annoyed. The menu is well assembled. In addition to standard dishes, there are also Greek cuisine. We didn't have to wait very long for the food. But when I saw it and tried, I realized why it was so fast. The potatoes to the salmon were not freshly cooked, but were already slightly older and were simply warmed up once more. The parsley on it was not quite fresh, but already a bit dry. The Sauce Hollandise was an industrial premix. The fried salmon was not fried but simply frit!!! The salmon was simply placed on a much too thick Klecks sauce Hollandaise and spread potatoes. The only plus point: the salmon was nicely cut. The steak of my accompaniment was perfectly cooked on the point medium. The roast potatoes have also tasted. Only the pink pepper sauce was once again an industrial pre-mix that was slapped on the plate too thick. The pepper sauce did not taste and was not eaten. We had to wait too long for the bill according to my feeling. The playground and the whole outdoor area should be overhauled. Otherwise beautiful ambience surrounded by a small forest piece. The preparation and quality of the food keeps me from a second visit.
