Perutambo Biomarket Antonio Raymondi

Huaraz is a small town and most supermarkets (well mini markets won 't have vegan products. I was so happy to find this place the day before a long bus ride. I was able to buy snacks for the bus trail mix, vegan bread, quinoa chocolate and dried fruit. I also bought some apple cider vinegar (made locally, with the 'mother ' , the best one I tried so far in my life! The store also sold soy meats, oils, indigenous herbs, fruits, juices, and surprise surprise vegan ice cream!

We went very often to this shop. They have nice bread (better than most bakeries) and vegan cookies. We love the fact that they have kombucha, kefir and local sauerkraut (soooo delicious). You can buy nuts and seeds in bulk. They have a variety of nut butters. They als have toothpaste and some other cosmetics. Pro: you can pay with card.

Came back from a hike in the heat and accidentally found this shop selling vegan ice cream!! 4 flavours, 2 servings for 5 sol, 1 serving for 3 sol, delicious! Made me very happy today!

Perutambo stocks a bunch of different organic foods and natural medicine products like tinctures and powders. Good selection of chocolate, too!
