Bidrage med feedbackWe 've been members of Bowfield for a while and usually use the cafe but thought we 'd use the restaurant today. Went in, empty apart from two tables, waited by the door but no staff around so took a seat at a table. Waitress with long blond hair, looked like she was the manager, approached and asked if we 'd booked, we said we hadn 't and asked, Do we need to? We were told, Well yes. We said OK we 'd just go back to the cafe and were told, No it 's ok we can seat you but you can 't sit at this table you 'll need to move as it 's set for an afternoon tea. The table had 4 cups on it... would have been easier to lift the 4 cups than ask us all to move seats. We moved to the next table and sat for 5-10 mins with 3 waitresses standing at the side, not bothering to bring us any menus or acknowledge us. We got up and went back in to the cafe. The waitress who had been speaking to us then came in to the cafe and stood talking to a few women for the majority of time we were in eating our lunch. Pretty poor customer service, not very friendly and felt very unwelcome, especially considering the place was empty bar two tables. Guess we know why the place was empty if that 's how she speaks to people. Would rather stand in the cafe chatting to people than actually serving.

Not the cheapest but being fair restaurants in hotels never are so go in with your eyes open and you'll end up with a happy belly. The food was good and the staff were lovely. Not really much more to say than that
Xmas dinner was good. One small thing though, I was surprised to see one of your waiting staff wearing a Celtic jersey whilst serving food/drinks. Very unprofessional.
Good food with something for everyone and nice decor (a mix of wood and different fabrics). Staff were very nice as well. Plenty of parking space outside, since it's part of a hotel and spa.
