So I got the yellow curry chicken that was referred to me by a employee there and I tried it and I am very appreciative for the recommendation it's not to spicy like he said and I love the taste!!!!
One of my favorite in the tunnel for Asian foods. they have added additional elements to the menu so they can make more choices. eating is fresher and tasteful, now. very friendly service. the prices are very nominal $7.95 for the 2 side plate, and $9.95 for the 3 side plate,) and reasonable. I would recommend this place at any time.
After I heard about this place opening, I had to come check it out. When I lived in Arizona, the west cost version of Kroger is Fry's Marketplace. Fry's and Kroger are owned by the same people, but it's under a different name out west. The Fry's stores are basically like this, where they are primarily grocers, with extra items in store such as furniture, clothing, etc. I had to come check it out so I could compare it to what I've been missing since I moved back. Overall, it's a great store. It's still a Kroger, but with a lot more options. Here are some of the positives that I noticed. Store is well staffed, and they are friendly. (never under estimate customer service! Secondly, the store is huge! Not only do they have your typical items here, but lots more as well, which I like. A bigger Kosher section, ethnic foods, cheeses, all the goods and more! Plus, tons of booze booze booze!!! More booze!!!!! They also have a Starbucks inside. YAY! I love getting a cup of coffee, iced tea or what not when I come in. Quite refreshing! Bonus points! Also, they have a really nice pizza, sushi and lunch station when you walk in to the right of produce. I love it! I could totally spend more time (and money here but since it was early, these parts of the store were not quite open yet. I plan a return trip to try them out at some point in the future. On the down side, I wish the deli had a better selection of dishes to choose from. It's still a decent selection, but seems to be the same stuff all the time. Very little variety or anything that seems appetizing. This goes for most Kroger's, so it's not just here. I will probably return in the future, and feel like this location is fine, but will probably grow over time in regards to selection of items. I'm not saying there isn't a good selection, but maybe they need to figure out some extra selection since they have the square footage. Things like (as stated before items in the deli, more Kosher stuff and other items as well.
Time for Thai is a new eatery in the food court of the downtown tunnels and they were pretty popular for their inexpensive lunch combos. For $8 and some change, you get your choice of 2 entree items, rice, and an eggroll. And they give you a very generous serving of food, so generous in fact that you may end up taking some home with you. For my combo, I had the Pad Thai, Cashew Chicken, Egg Fried Rice, and the eggroll. The Cashew Chicken was very good, and the vegetables that it was served with was fresh tasting. The Pad Thai however was a little dried out and overcooked. It was good, but just dry. Certainly not a deal breaker, especially since they have other entree items to choose from. I tried the curry that a friend of mine ordered and it was delicious, so i'll have to get that next time. The only issue I had were the lines. They were long and the bottleneck seemed to be at the register. I'm not sure if they had a new system they were trying to learn, but it was a little slow going, and they only had one person manning two registers while the line kept going. I'd give them 3.5 stars if it were possible, but for now, and at least until I get a chance to revisit, it'll be 3 stars for now.
