Promenade Restaurant @ The Hilton Post Oak

WE WENT TO A DIFFERENT HOTEL BUFFET FOR THANKSGIVING AND SERVICE AT HILTON WAS BY FAR MUCH BETTER. WAIT STAFF WENT OUT OF THERE WAY TO MAKE THE DAY VERY ENJOYABLE.

We tried the Christmas brunch this year and were completely satisfied with the food and the service. The various food stations were dispersed in various rooms/locations yet easy to access and never crowded. Lastly, the price was reasonable. We will consider returning next year for either the Thanksgiving or Christmas brunch

THE ROOM FELT LIKE AN A BASKET COURT WITH CARPET. NO MUSIC. DECORATIONS WERE A FEW GREEN AND RED LIGHTS POINTED AT THE CEILING. IT WAS QUITE. CHAIRS WERE THE TYPICAL CHAIRS. OUR TABLE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN 36 IN DIAMETER. SERVICE IS BY A BUNCH OF FOREIGNERS THAT ARE OLD AND PROBABLY WORKING FOR MINIMUM WAGE. THREE WAITERS CLAIMED TO BE OUR WAITER FOR OUR SPECIFIC TABLE. IT WAS BORING AND REMINDED ME OF A PARENT TEACHER FUNCTION RATHER THAN A CHRISTMAS LUNCH IN WHICH I WAS TO PAY $150.00. FOOD WAS FAIRLY GOOD. BUT WITH THE LACK OF EVERYTHING ELSE, IT WAS LIKE EATING IN A BASKETBALL COURT.

I booked through Open Table but the restaurant manager phoned to confirm our booking, which was a nice touch. My husband and I really enjoyed the buffet rather than a sit down lunch. Allowed us to try so many different things! Food was excellent and servers very friendly, unlimited Mimosas were included which made the whole brunch excellent value.

While most restaurants were closed and those others that were open had prefix, expensive menu options, the Promenade offered a comprehensive brunch buffet that was abundant, tasty, and reasonably priced. The table service was the best I have ever experienced for a brunch. Wish they had this every weekend.
