Luby's - Houston

I’m still unsure what the red substance is in the small cup labeled as cranberry sauce. It resembled some kind of gel, rather than actual cranberry sauce, and left a bitter aftertaste. Despite having read that Luby’s was working to improve their service, I was disappointed once more. I have tried several Luby’s locations and have yet to find one that offers the comforting, home-cooked meals I remember from the past; they even add onions to the sweet potatoes! I sincerely hope this company can enhance their food preparation. Unfortunately, their prices have risen sharply while the quality has declined. I may consider giving them another chance in the future.

Our waitress was outstanding! She was an African American woman in her middle years.

I left after being notified my order was ready; it was not ready when I arrived and took ~8 minutes for someone to assist me, my order was not complete the meals seemed overpriced for their quality.

The female at the pick up window was rude and unprofessional when I tried to pick up my order, she made me go around and park and walk inside to get my order that was already on the shelf ready to go; she refused to give me my order. I had my elderly, disabled mother with me and I had to put her through this terrible service experience.

Well seasoned chicken fried chicken. Cabbage and great northern beans were great. Staff was friendly.
