Las Palomas Mexican Grill - Houston

My favorite dishes here are the enchiladas Mexicanas accompanied by their fideo and the carne guisada. I can never go wrong with either of those options. However, I do wish I enjoyed their regular enchiladas more, as I'm not a fan of the tortillas they use for the cheese enchiladas. On the bright side, their salsa is fantastic and served warm.

There’s a wide variety of options to choose from, and I haven't encountered a bad dish yet! This has become our go-to spot for Mexican cuisine; you really can’t go wrong here. I highly recommend it!

The food was acceptable but not particularly impressive. My husband ordered the Mexican enchiladas, and the sauce seemed like it came straight from a can. I had the shrimp cocktail, and the shrimp felt disconnected from the cocktail itself. The tomatoes were definitely canned, lacking freshness and flavor. The restaurant was quite busy, and we had to wait about 20-30 minutes to be seated, which was fine since we were drawn in by the glowing reviews and had high expectations. Unfortunately, we left feeling disappointed. On a positive note, our server was friendly, courteous, and very attentive, as was the rest of the staff. Everyone was accommodating and pleasant.

All the entrees I've had have been delicious ! I recommend the gorditas with fideo n the ckn mole is really good n plenty of it.
