Kaneayama Japanese - Houston

I've been enjoying this restaurant since it reopened in the 90s. It's the ideal spot for an intimate dinner with a date, a lunch with friends, or even a private party. I've celebrated at least ten birthdays there, as well as my son's. The food is outstanding, the service is top-notch, and the music and artwork create an authentic atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience.

Just love, love, love this place. I've been coming here for 17 years. And after coming back from an absent period, due to distance travel, it is ever as excellent as always. Every bit of it, from the food to the service. Just outstanding.

Best miso soup I have ever had. Ordered the sushi bento. Tasty. The tuna and salmon tasted fresh. The salad dressing was meh, but that may be because I wasn't expecting the ginger and the lettuce was nearly dropping wet. I liked the tempura veggies as well. Many restaurants could learn to bread foods with such the light touch. I'll be back, for sure.
