Grand Lux Cafe - Houston

This past Thursday, when I arrived, they seated my partner and me in the bar area without asking if we preferred that section. It was quite loud, and the service was less attentive than what I've experienced before. While the waitress was competent, the level of customer service in the main restaurant is typically much higher. I really wish they had consulted us before seating us there, as I'm not a fan of the noisy bar atmosphere.

My sister and brother-in-law visited from out of town on Sunday and left on Monday. Before they departed, we had to stop by Grand Lux for lunch. I absolutely love this place! The brunch, lunch, and dinner offerings are all fantastic. Yes, it can be a bit pricey, but the portions are generous enough to share between two people. So, I definitely give it two thumbs up!

Last Saturday evening, I dined at the Grand Lux with my cousin and friends. We were seated about 15 minutes after arriving. I ordered the shrimp and chicken jambalaya, which had a stunning presentation. It was a unique take on the dish, and I found it to be absolutely delicious! My cousin tried the beignets, which were simply heavenly—they truly transported you to New Orleans! The fusion of Roman architecture with the decor creates a charming atmosphere reminiscent of the 1920s, adding a distinct ambiance to the restaurant. This was my first experience dining here, but it certainly won’t be my last!

I've always lived this place! Don't come as often as I do, but it's just great food here. I guess that'll be another MY location to come for me. The staff is wonderful, the ambience is beautiful..beautiful architecture (of course I love this) and interior design.just a nice place to go have a good meal!
