Beaver's Decatur - Houston

I had a fantastic brunch experience! The meal was more like a brunch/lunch combo because it was so filling. It wasn't just a fried egg on a waffle like other places. The service was impeccable.

The food was good, but a bit heavy and greasy for my taste. I felt a bit weighed down after the meal.

We went for Father's Day! It was fun but a little pricey.

The place was charming, and the food was pretty good. There are plenty of places to have a great brunch in Houston, so I can't say for sure that this one stood out or that I'm wanting to return soon. The drinks we ordered tasted good but were HEAVILY iced. We ordered a carafe and barely squeezed 3.5 drinks out of it. By the end, the last glass was extremely watered down also- I wouldn't order a carafe again. I didn't see the value, and even the waiter commented on the amount of ice in our drinks. Fun spot but nothing significantly special.

Great restaurant, great food! This visit the waiter was great but the food was extremely slow. Apparently they were short staffed in the kitchen . Hopefully this isn't a normal occurrence. I will return but if food is that slow again I'll have a re-think Beavers.
