Armandos - Houston

Every time I was Armandos, it was a 5-star experience. This time I gave him 4 stars due to the noise level. It was excessive LOUD due to the majority of 20-30 years old restaurants in Armandos. I'd say how I know Thursday's dance night is and it was a more lively crowd than usual. TIP: Do not go on Thursdays unless you really want to hear the people you are with.

The service is the standout here. Drinks are great, and the queen is good... The salsa could however use a little help, but this is a great place for date night or families. A Houston institution!

I regret that I missed the reservation due to an illness in the family. I should have ben able to cancel it properly but Open Table was not working correctly. I look forward to my next visit.

This was the most tasteless Mexican food I have ever eaten. It’s a beautiful restaurant with worthless food.

We were seated immediately (had reservations, obviously). The food was excellent. However, our waiter would disappear for extended periods of time (it was NOT a busy night) and we would have to prevail on others when we needed something. We finally got him to drop off some dessert menus but then he never came back to take our orders. We had to stop a waiter from another section to take our order. We've had other service issues at this restaurant cocktails arriving after dinner was well underway and appetizers arriving after we had finished our main meal. The food, however, has always been very good.
