Bidrage med feedbackThe restaurant, which has a German theme, offers amazing food with a variety of delicious options worth trying. The dishes are tasty and well-prepared, making it hard to resist coming back after all these years. The restaurant is conveniently located near bus stop 7.
After having a disappointing experience at this restaurant last year, we decided to give it another try on a slower weekday. The cuisine here is German, with generously sized and hearty meals such as German sausages, Kessler pork chops, sauerkraut, and potatoes. Despite being full, we couldn't resist trying the apple strudel for dessert.
This restaurant is a favorite among the locals for its cozy atmosphere and delicious comfort food. We left feeling very satisfied after dining at YAMA. We enjoyed the chicken schnitzel with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut. The beer selection was also excellent.
The standard of food at the ski resorts I've been to in Australia have been fairly average and the prices for food above average. We ordered the 2 person share platter and the egg noodles. It was too much food for 5 people. This is not a criticism. Just a warning not to over order. This restaurant serves German pub food. The standard of the food was similar to Hofbrauhaus (Melbourne). That is to say, it's not bad. The restaurant was clearly understaffed on the Saturday night we were there. It was very difficult to get anyone's attention. It took about 15 minutes to order, 15 minutes to get the bill and another 15 minutes to pay. They needed at least another 3 to 4 staff members.I did go there again the next day on a late afternoon to get a coffee. The woman who served me was lovely.
A great place to eat after a long day on the slopes. The serving sizes are generous and hearty. I have tried almost everything on the menu and have not been disappointed. I have eaten here with a group and also several times solo and the service in every instance has been attentive and responsive. Value for money. Some gluten free options are available. They also have a take away option if you prefer to eat in your lodge.
