Shady Corner Cafe - Hot Springs

Good menu, great service, home cooked food, prepared with skill and passion. As I looked over the menu I didn’t expect to be looking at items that are prepared fresh and home made from scratch. Like their greens, and the homemade tarter sauce that comes with their amazing, thick, crisp catfish. Don’t hesitate to come try this place. My dad ordered the 12oz dam burger and it was literally more than 12oz. It was so big, he couldn’t finish it. The meat was seasoned so well and juicy, the bread was perfectly complimenting the big heavy juicy burger patty. The waitress and her brother the chef were incredibly welcoming and friendly, the chef came to ask me if everything was alright and I was pleasantly surprised by that, I told the waitress that was very attentive that I loved the greens and I don’t even like greens. This place is great and I’ll be back.

Had lunch on the patio with a Philly cheese steak and a chicken bacon ranch sandwich! Lunch was awesome and the staff was great. Can’t wait to eat here again!

'We don 't have specials but everything here is special! ' Ever walked into a restaurant and it felt like home? This is the place! I love the welcoming atmosphere! The staff made each patron 's (observation) experience a personal one and it was noticeably genuine. Food was beyond delicious. Service was great! I loved watching the staff 's interactions with the customers. Make you visit The Dam Spot!!

Dined in 01/03/2022. Waited nearly an hour for our order. That was OK as we were visiting a friend and had lengthy conversation. Food was good but batter on fried fish was WAY too salty. Good value. Wait staff checked in with us often--without food in hand. We were given no explanation as to what caused the long delay in preparing our meals.

My friend Cori recommended we grab something here quick and good and licak. I had their chef salad and it was awesome should have taken a picture it looked like it should be in a cookbook. My friend had a Swiss burger w/o the bun and super yummy fries. Staff we sweet and helpful. Help this place keep going!
