Gasthaus Christophorus

The staff were friendly and the hotel very clean and quiet, we had half board but only ate evening meal once but had breakfast every day

We have just come back from a 4 night stay at Gasthof Christophorus and can happily recommend the place. We stayed in room 10 which was spacious, warm, spotlessly clean with a comfy bed. What more could you want? (Okay, a double duvet on the bed, rather than two singles would have been nice but that certainly didn’t spoil our stay). Breakfast was help yourself, with decent choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, bread, cheese meat definitely set us up for a day on the slopes. The evening meals were really good, three courses with a choice of main each night. The Wiener schnitzel with salad buffet was a particular favourite of mine, but all of them were good. We were seated at the same table for each meal which was a great way of meeting other guests and we quickly made friends. The bar was lively on an evening, especially popular on live music nights. Smoking is allowed in the bar (as with most other bars in Söll) which is quite unpleasant when you’re not used to it (following UK smoking ban), but this is personal preference. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at Gasthof Christophorus. We were made to feel welcome, all staff were very polite friendly, our room was cleaned every day, always plenty of hot water and importantly (when it’s 6 outside) the room was always warm cosy. We would definitely consider returning in the future and recommend it to people wanting a good value hotel in a perfect location to enjoy Söll.

Der Biergarten ist urgemütlich, das Essen sehr liebevoll angerichtet. Ich hatte ein Eierschwammerlgulsch mit einem Semmelknödel. Das beste Pilzgulasch, das ich je gegessen habe!!!

Hatten den Christophorus Teller bestellt und waren voll zufrieden. Essen im Freien. Wunderbare Sicht auf die Berge. Bedienungen waren flott und freundlich.

Eaten here many times in the past, but this place is better year after year. The Austrian style decor hasn't changed, but we weren't eating the decor! The restaurant was very busy with just one waiter. Somehow he managed to cover everything and we felt attended to in a very friendly way. The menu has a designated vegetarian section which is very welcome in a place like Soll, some really original offerings. The experience we were having was great, then came the food ............... it all just got better. To be able to cook a vegetarian meal of vegetables in a creamy cheesy sauce and still serve it hot and fresh is uncommon. The Christophorus set a standard that many others would envy. Presentation was excellent, flavour great, service outstanding. All for a fantastic price.
