On the flip side, the Kenyan Sampras and the Jamaican beef patties were phenomenal! I highly recommend the goat stew with spinach and rice on the side. Also, you will do yourself a disservice if you do not try the African Sunrise or the Hakuna Matata!
Nice cultural change of palate. Worth the adventure to try new things.
The waitress was kind and willing to answer my questions as to choosing the lamb chops over my favorite. There was one take-away client in the restaurant (I saw him entered when I was getting out of my car) so I had the restaurant almost to myself. The waitress checked on me but did not hover. My meal was delicious. I was never asked about the 11:15A reservation I made on Open Table but it was not relevant given there was no wait time today. I had a Mango juice with my meal. I was able to fill my glass of ice three times from the 16.5fl Oz can! Be sure you clean the top of the can before you open one.
The food here is outstanding, and is totally what will keep this place going. The service was terrible. No ask/acknowledgment of reservations (we were lucky to actually have a table available as it was a Friday night and pretty busy), and it took almost 30 min for anyone to come to our table to even order drinks. We ended up taking our food to-go as we no longer had enough time to sit and enjoy there. Would go back for food (takeout), but would think long and hard about dining in again.
This restaurant has new owners who are not familiar with OpenTable reservations. Additionally, OpenTable does not list their business hours.
