Bidrage med feedbackThis place is really good. The variety of pre-determined flavor/topping combos, variety in flavors and toppings on their own, the taste of the actual ice cream... it 's all very good! Also pretty cool to be able to watch the process of your order being poured out, frozen, mixed, and rolled! Depending on when you go, or maybe not (we went on a rainy Sunday) this place gets BUSY. It 's not huge inside either, so take your patience with you if this is the case when you get there. Moreso for the people standing everywhere, not necessarily your wait time. Pricing is fair and about what you 'd expect. The only thing I 'd like is for cookie/cracker type toppings to be crumbled (or at least have the option). If I get graham cracker as a side, they literally just stick half of a gram cracker in the side of the cup. Same thing with Oreos (1 oreo) etc. After a few bites of that, I 've finished it yet still have plenty ice cream without my 'topping '. So either more than 1 or crumbled would be my preference! All in all... great ice cream shop addition to the Hoover area.
8 degrees does the best rolled ice cream I 've ever had and I keep coming back. Better than anything in Chicago or anywhere in Alabama. Better than 'authentic ' Thai ice cream in Chinatown. It 's legitimatlely the best.
The ice cream has a pretty good flavor. The price is $6.99 plus tax, which includes your choice of ice cream flavors, one mix-in, and three toppings.
The ice cream here is fantastic, with a wide variety of flavors and customizable options. The portion sizes are generous, and there's even indoor seating, making it a family-friendly spot. They also have a loyalty program where you can earn points toward a free cup. We visited on a Friday night when only two staff members were working, and there were at least 15 cups to be made before ours, which resulted in a longer wait. However, the ice cream was rolled to perfection, and we left satisfied.
I was born during the Iraq War and grew up with very little food. The realities of war meant there was no room for joy in my childhood. When my family finally escaped Iraq and made the journey to the United States by boat, I experienced something extraordinary for the first time: ice cream. 8° F was the first ice cream chain I visited, and it brought me a sense of happiness that helped me forget my past and savor the sweetness of life. Thank you for that experience.
