The Pines 1852 - HOOD RIVER

I had a pleasant experience in this friendly, inconceivable, good price and excellent in the city winery. Lea (not sure that spelling is correct) was so friendly and informative really appreciate their company Gießen my samples. I think the best place to sip wine in Hood River and will be back

We haven't been to the new tasting room location, but are very familiar with the winery, their wines, and their great staff. We highly recommend the Old Vines Zinfandel, especially if you are a Zin fan. The Big Red is a big bold red blend which goes with almost any hearty dish and won't break the bank. The tasting room staff is friendly and very helpful. They often have live music at the tasting room on weekends.

With live music on Friday nights, The Pines is a great place to start your weekend! Very comfortable atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and The Pines Big Red always satisfies. Prices are very reasonable, like $7-10 for a glass. They do a tasting flight of 6 for just $10, a total bargain and a great way to try several varieties. And it gets better; if you purchase a bottle, they waive the fee. Next year I plan on attending one of their farm dinners in The Dalles where they pair a glass of wine with each course, the menu based on what is local and in season. Definitely worth visiting this gem In the heart of downtown Hood River.
