Bidrage med feedbackMy family and I had an excellent meal here last weekend. Call and book how it is filled quickly. Parking - there is a paid parking lot on the street at the corner of Pauahi Bishop. $4/hour, we were in and out of the restaurant in less than 2 hours. We had our meal at 5:00 and were sitting right away. Restaurant has no mask, no entry policy, but once the food has arrived, no problem with masks for residual flour. We ordered the Butabara (pork belly), Momo (chicken thigh), sukiyaki (Bef with Veggies), A5 wagyu and a few other yakitori spits. We enjoyed them all! We especially liked the Sukiyaki skewer. It is served with a raw egg yolk and was really delicious! The Yakitori cook worked hard and can be seen, before and in the middle of the restaurant prepares yakitori with great effort. Thank you, boss. The owner of the restaurant and our server was friendly and explained which dishes brought. Also in the Yakitori Hachibei in Hakata, Fukuoka, this was a wonderful meal that brought me back to my time in Japan. Definitely order the water dresses salad and the maize massage. Both were delicious! We also have the Tebasaki wings with Hachibei sauce, which was full of taste.
I've been visiting this restaurant for years. Consistently good, high-quality food. Superb Yakitori, Dassai 45 Sake, excellent service. I recommend ordering the course, makes it easy (and the goods only come on). This place feels like Tokyo.
I'm glad we could try this place. If you go in there, you can feel it's gonna be okay. We ordered a variety of articles to share and all were satisfied. All we ordered is great. Some of the outlets are the water cress Salat, Tsukune, sukiyaki, maize, fog ribs and Donburi. The spits were boiled in the opposite direction via a special wood. I'd come back here and maybe try to get a place on the counter to see everything.
Robert was excellent. He helped us book a reservation after I called, although the open table said it was all booked. The whole culinary experience was great, the food came right after another, so they never became cold. If you can't decide what the Omakase try and order additional spears if you want more.
Having lived most of my life in Japan I craved an authentic Japanese yakitori experience. And Hachibei delivers. It may take the average non Japanese to get used to this style of dining where there are no appetisers, mains, sides, etc. Basically, you order yakitori (grill) items off the menu, many of which are then cooked on the sumibi grill in the open counter by the chef. The items come one by one. Hachibei also has innovative Japanese inspired dishes like Shishito Peppers with Blue Cheese. The tebasaki chicken wings are the best I ever have outside Japan. Skip the spicy chicken wings, which are an upscale version of Buffalo Wild Wings and not really worthy of this menu. The Miyazaki A5 wagyu morsels are unbelievable tender and juicy. The excellent tsukune tastes best with the egg yoke, so don't forget!. The sake menu is extensive with all the usual sake brands available in America. No special imports. Same for shochu and a little disappointed no awamore or kokuto shochu. Great selection of Japanese whiskeys. Recommend seating indoors our outdoor seat was disrupted by disturbed homeless that were roaming the sidewalks and made us nervous while loud music blasted out of the dive bar across the street. Not as expensive as I thought, about the same price including tips as Hachibei in Roppongi, Tokyo. Reservations a must, usually fully booked a couple weeks in advance.
