Bidrage med feedbackThis was one of the best dining experiences of my lifetime. The food menu was amazing, absolutely first class, and the service was perfect. But the part of the experience we will talk about for years (decades) to come is the Cave itself. It is a gorgeous space that has an incredible collection of art and sculpture unlike anything I’ve ever seen before, certainly not at a restaurant. Some people might balk at the price to which I say, think about how many “average” $40 meals you have each month, in some cases that you forgot about the moment you left the restaurant. Now, compare that to this $300 meal that you’ll remember the rest of your life. Incredible!
If you're seeking an unforgettable dining experience with exceptional food, wine, and service, head to Vintage Cave! This is the restaurant you've always wanted to visit, so don't hesitate. They can customize the menu to suit your preferences. The staff is incredibly friendly and provides top-notch service.
If you are looking for that special place to visit, this is it! We had dinner on New Years Eve 2014 and the entire staff were outstanding. Not rushed, friendly and extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. Their tasting menu is unbelievable both in terms of presentation and taste. Each portion seems like to can 't be beat till the next portion arrives. It was and evening of Wows! We didn 't do the wine pairing and instead ordered a few bottles of great wines at a fair price (actually underpriced for the quality of restaurant and service). We felt honored and privileged to be able to have dinner here with our family while enjoying the food, art, etc. At the end of dinner, they provide an informal tour of the art that rivals the dinner in terms of excitement. We 'll DEFINITELY be back and will bring more friends next time!
This was a great very intimate experience. The entrance is located in a parking lot that is pretty difficult to find. Once you find the entrance, your server is actually waiting for you and knows your name. You then get escorted in and seated. Be ready for a multiple course meal with very sophisticated dishes. This is not somewhere I would go to get full. Food was great and service was fantastic. I suggest saving up your money and trying this place or one like it at least once.
We eat at 3 or 4 Michelin starred places a year. Michelin doesn 't go west as far as Hawaii, so choosing Vintage Cave was a matter of reading and taking a chance. It was both pleasant surprise and a shock. The surprise part was that Vintage Cave was as good as you would expect from it 's reputation and price point. Too many Michelin restaurants don 't live up to their reputations: food, service and/or attitude are off. At such prices and with one or more stars, you expect perfection or close to it, but often don 't get it. So the pleasant surprise at Vintage Cave was that it exceeded expectations it actually was 3 Star quality. The shock was how they exceeded even the best Michelin 3 Stars in unique experience and great (humble) attitude. You 'll read that Vintage Cave is a hidden ' oasis of quiet sophistication buried oxymoronically inside a mall; that 's true. You 'll read that it displays part of the owner 's private art collection also true. What you won 't read is that your waiter is a sous chef who is your liaison with the kitchen. He explains your 14 course menu without a trace of the usual arrogance or boredom, and asks your food preferences so they can adjust, even at the last moment. When my wife said she preferred to not have caviar on one dish, they substituted get this cypress seeds, which looked and actually popped like caviar does, with a taste that complimented the dish. She preferred to not have fois gras; they substituted a dainty piece of tandoori chicken which perfectly completed the dish. The wine pairings were creative and spot on. They not only printed a pair of menus with our name (the usual custom these days) but re printed them twice unasked first to reflect the changes to my wife 's menu, and then to add all the wine pairings. Both were signed by the executive chef who came out and greeted us personally. Then, just before dessert, the entire kitchen team came out and greeted us. All somehow done humbly. I could go on, but wow!
