Bidrage med feedbackTake-out for a more cost-effective way to taste their food their delicious dinner is 300 a person in front of drinks tax tip. the chirashi is much better than the futomaki, although both are quite delicious. they used to have a larger bentobox for 100, as I remember and that was fantastic. I must say that their marinate sauces are somehow out of this world and their ingredients are not the usual ones they find on cheaper places. book online as soon as they run out quite quickly.
If there is one high end place you should go to when you are in Honolulu, it's probably this one. I've recently been to a couple of high end sushi places in San Francisco granted 1 each, but equally expensive recently, and after this place I don't think I'm ever going to get high end sushi in San Francisco ever again. The quality was a step above anything that I've had in San Francisco the texture even in on the non premium cuts of fish was super soft, flavors were all on point with the sauces and wasabi not overpowering, and even the ginger root vegetable palate cleanser somehow tasted better than most places. The restaurant has the menu structure where everyone gets the same 20 or so pieces set menu, and then they bring out some premium extras that you can pay more for if you want it at the end of the meal think uni, otoro, tiger shrimp, etc . These are roughly 12 dollars a piece and good if you want to indulge.
There's no better sushi than Sushi Sho in Honolulu. We absolutely love it here and we're always wanting more. Everything from the service, quality of fish and preparation is outstanding. Highly recommend if you're a sushi lover like me. FYI, call to reserve atleast a month in advance. They're always booked up quickly. 10 10 recommend!!!
If you cannot secure a reservation for the omakase seating, Sushi Sho offers two takeout options: chirashi bowl and futomaki.
Food is good, tasty, and fresh, but 40 dollars for a bento box, probably wouldn’t order it again.
