Bidrage med feedbackAbsolutely fantastic classic and Hawaiian Chinese bakery. We have the manapua, white sugar cake, Sweetheart Cake and Custard Bun. The outside was perfectly crisp, sweet and sticky; the bread was soft, tender and fluffy; the filling was sweet, salty and delicious. No complaints. Perfect texture, simply sweet enough, ingeniously fermented flavor. Just that the pastry could be a bit flaky. Custard Bun: Filling is great, but the bungalow is somewhat dense and it was cold and not fluffy enough. Overall, maybe the best Chinese bakery I've ever been with a long shot. In addition to moon cakes, they had baked and steamed manapuas, biscuits and tons of dried fruit. We were there for the moon cake, but we left with manapuas, moon cake and a bag of coconut macadamia brittle. Terrible!
There was a good amount of customers at the time we came here. Buy here a black sugar moon cake, banana roll cake and a glutinous rice cake and all were tasty (especially the rice cake I haven't had for years and it brought back many good memories).
This place was so good!! Just a few minutes in the early Sunday morning. Had to be the char siu baked manapua (very good and most meat I have ever seen in Manapua and large pieces), the sesame ball with coconut was amazing (can not remember the actual name) it was not too sweet and very cheesy, then a mochi rice cumai, which was also a nice savory pop! All I got was great
Line was only 5 deep today so after going to Nam Fongs next door, stood in line for some taro cake and moon cake for good luck. Got the black bean with yolk and the 5 nuts with yolk moon cakes. Kinda different and yummy! They got pork hash, manapua, half moon, shrimp dumpling and more!
