Bidrage med feedbackWe came to dinner last night in Oahu. Wonderful choice! We decided to order a variety of small dishes and they were all wonderful! The cook stopped and chat with some diners. The place also has great art work. This is a hidden gem in a less tourist area and more people should visit!
We had dinner here during our last days in Oahu, and we are so glad we decided to try it out. We ordered family style and shared the koji-aged steak, roasted chicken and seafood Risotto. Every dish was so carefully prepared, and the cook even came out to welcome us and ask how everything was. Loved the food, the atmosphere and the service. Hopefully be back soon!
Excellent service at Kapa Hale! Our host was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and the patient with all our questions. He could also recommend drinks according to the question of the taste palette. The four of us hadn't eaten here, so we basically wanted to try everything. (And it was funny to order the Punny called dishes! We ordered several appetizers: Maisbrot, Naan / Curry, Oktopus and the Special. Of these, the maize bread was preferred. The Naan in the Naan-ya business was delish, but the curry sauce was not impressed. We didn't cost the special, I can't remember what it should be now because zucchini jun came out. The Entrées were so full because they are so rich. So even though you could see small plates in the guests' pictures, keep that in mind. We ordered the special (a porridge with shrunk hammock, two pastas (one comes with pork, the order is not, but noodles are homemade, and the steak. The Porridge was delicious and super rich, especially with this salty Hock and after eating all these apps. The pappardelle alla pork guisantes was okay. My entrée was the agnolotti alla funghi and it was de-licious. The Koji aged ham a 12oz steak was hands down melt in your mouth wonderful. It was enough to share and fortunately take extra home. We were filled, but why not try Dessert? We have blurred over the oreo/coffee/chocolate pie (center of the three menu options). (I had water so can not comment on soft drinks, but my friends enjoyed it! Altogether, yes! Visit this place, taste the rotating specialties and definitely the steak. The service is top-notch and Koch definitely creative.
By far our favorite meal on our trip! We made reservations and were thrilled to sit near the beautiful mural in the restaurant. Husband and I ordered a drink (him a NYC Fashioned and me a Lychee Ginger Chu hai). For appetizers, we have the maize bread, Hawaiian beef tars, and the Everyday I'm Brusselin' all good, but the Brussel spears were by far our favorite appetizer (we were tried to get another order). For our most important entrees I got the signature Tagliatelle alla shrimp bulgogi pork bolognese and it was so good! Husband got the **** schnitzel de lechon and the pig bell and sauce was good from this world. We couldn't help and pamper ourselves in dessert. The lemon depot was amazing and the Miso Soy was very tasty and I wish I knew the recipe. The staff was friendly and helpful. We loved our dinner so much, we looked very much back the next day, but have to visit again in the future. Love, love, LOVED our meal!
We had an absolutely dining experience at Kapa Hale. For starters the food was absolutely INCREDIBLE. Every dish from staters to dessert was fantastic. The chef personally came over to our table to see how everything was and have a chat which is always such a nice touch. The servers were outstanding, thoughtful, and we never wanted for anything. Also the cocktails were fantastic. Amazing fine dining take on local food experience that is pushing new boundaries as far as ingredients and combinations!
