Maui Brewing Co. Waikiki - Honolulu

I was extremely disappointed with this restaurant. I waited a long time to visit, only to be required to pay and tip before even experiencing the food and service. The service was average, but the beer was not cold enough, the French fries were severely overcooked (some were burnt), the goat cheese salad was missing the dressing that was listed on the menu, the salad appeared wilted and not very fresh, and the calamari was barely warm. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day, but there was nothing to make us want to return anytime soon.

Happy hour here is amazing. I am very picky about my beer and I like her beer. try the karoshi for a light, tasteful storage perfect for a warm day.

We decided to have lunch on Saturday afternoon and watch a basketball game at a sports bar located next to the brewery. However, the sports bar classification was very misleading. After checking our Covid credentials, we waited in line to place our order at the bar before finding a table. Although the process was a bit frustrating, we followed the rules. Unfortunately, the bartender was not helpful at all. When I tried to order a beer, he rudely informed me that they were out. I was taken aback by his attitude. I quickly ordered something else and asked if they could switch one of the TVs to the basketball game we wanted to watch. However, our request was denied. Despite having several TVs around the bar, all were showing surfing on the same channel. We never received any service from a server, no water refills or napkins, and check-out was only done at the bar. The only positive aspect was the outdoor seating on the third floor, which had great potential if the staff were more friendly. Overall, our experience at this place was deeply disappointing due to the rude and unaccommodating team.

Maui brewing company was our go to Lunch spot while visiting Waikiki, Mahalo to Kai our server and the the brewmasters for the big swell IPA. The Ahi salad was delicious.

The service at this restaurant has recently taken a turn for the worse. Instead of having a dedicated server for your table, you have to flag down different servers to re-order food and drinks. Some of the servers, particularly the women, were working hard and hustling, while others seemed like they didn't care to be there. One male server in particular was very rude and seemed bothered when we asked him for anything. He ignored us for most of the time once he realized we weren't satisfied with his service. There are certainly hard-working servers who deserve tips, but there are also those who do not. I will not be returning to this restaurant and I would advise others to avoid it as well. It's important to spend your money where it is appreciated.
