Machete's Mean Sandwiches - Honolulu

I pass this shop frequently since I now work in Waikiki. Today, (Saturday), I had an appointment in town, so I decided this was the day I was going to treat my taste buds to a new adventure. SO GLAD I STOPPED IN! Bread is substantial and delicious (I had the wheat); and I got the Italian and The Machete to take home and share. Both were really delicious; just the right balance of bread, meat, veg, cheese and dressings. I'll be back!

Overall a decent sandwich place. The ingredients seem fresh and the sandwiches they make are tasty, big, and reasonably priced. Depending on the day, service can be on the slower side however.

Wow! Not only does this place have a hilarious name, if you understand Latin American culture but this is by far the BEST samitch on the island! Why go to Jersey mikes and shell out $20 when for half that you could get a proper samitch that would impress a person who grew up with NY delis. Keep up the good work! …and put your machete away.

Meannnnnn!!! Super yummy sandwich. I ordered Italian on white and it did not disappoint. Soft bread and fresh meat with veggies. Delicious!!!
