Et Al. - Honolulu

I decided to try out et al. today. I wanted to go with my family for lunch but I ended arriving during happy hour which is during 2-5 pm. The restaurant is connected to the Kahala MKT by Foodland and the restaurant seems a lot bigger on the outside. Upon entering there is a wide bar area and seating/dining area. From the Pau Hana menu I ordered almost everything from the menu except for the mousse. I tried the dip, fries, arancini, tartare, oysters, wings, sliders, and thepizza. Everything tastes phenomenal and I quite frankly enjoyed myself. My favorite dish is probably the garlic chicken wings. It is definitely worth trying everything from the menu. I will be returning to try the regular lunch or dinnermenu.

It should be 5 stars!!! Food and cocktails where all on point!!!! Cocktails took longer than normal. They did seem short staffed this day. We ordered the cocktails before the appetizers at the start, but the food came out first. Not a big deal but my mother-in-law is an alcoholic and needs her cocktails faster! It helps me too if she can get those cocktails faster, then I can enjoy myself as well.

The waiters and waitreses were nice. The prices here were reasonable although the food can take a long time to come out. Parking is easy to find at night. It's not too crowded here at night. This place seems clean. This place does do a temperature check before you can come in. I think this place is pretty safe. Overall, I would come here again.

I usually recommend your restaurant to everyone and tell them to eat the Lobster Roll, which I have LOVED for a long time! However, yesterday, 1/15, the Lobster Roll was dry, there was no mayonnaise mixed in the lobster, the bun was so DRY and hard, and there was not very lobster in the sandwich!! Normally the bun is toasted in butter or something that has flavor. I did not return the Lobster Roll as we were celebrating two birthdays and it was my idea to eat at et al but I was super disappointed in my entree yesterday! Susan Fusuma

Overall, it was a nice place for dinner or a date night. The flavors of the food meshed well together. The seasonal special dishes were our favoritea of the night. The wine list has a nice variety from many places in tje world.
