We came to lunch today as we heard many good comments about this place. This restaurant is located in the heart of the Soho and there are beautiful decorations (Artworks lights). a lot of history about this place, the drawings on the walls were also set by the artist they hired. we had the four season beans veggie in Chilli, it wasn't too much oil, but the part was great. The fried chicken in chili was also delicious, with many chicken bites in the dish. my favorite was definitely the chicken in chilli oil. The chicken was moist and soft. The chili oil was not too spicy, but added some sweetness. Something other than that I usually have. this veggie dish was also refreshing and tasted great my friends favorite was this meat wrapped cucumber dish... one of the popular dishes for Sichuan cuisine. another main dish that surprised us was the ankle with three types of paprika great for exchange! The taste was tasteful and the meat was delicious! overall a great lunch especially when you come with a group of friends! even if you want to taste another taste or a version of Sichuan food!
A good but unnoticed Sichuan restaurant, very conveniently located. The competition for good Sichuan food is high in HK, this is above average but not exceptional
The servers were prompt and courteous, and efficient but the food was very average. The price was extremely high for food. Two persons, 3 dishes kung pao chicken, chili beans, fried rice. Two small bottles of water. No alcohol bill came to $931 HK. I can't imagine how much it would be if we had seafood and some beer? There is only way to many good restaurants in the area with the same quality of food for much less. I guess I should have known there was nobody else in the restaurant on a Saturday night at 7:00. Lower line. Okay food at very high prices.
To steal a line from Andrew below A good but unremarkable Sichuan restaurant . Couldn 't be more accurate. Dishes are at least good but far out nearly $160 AUD for food only just as good as some low key Sichuan haunts in Melbourne that would run at $60 max. Still....I don 't think good Sichuan is that easy to find in HK (Singers heaps easier go figure? .
