Inno Veggie - Hong Kong Island

Visited this place on a weeknight with my family for dinner. There was a choice of the buffet for HKD 128 a person or a la carte menu. The place was generally full. The first wait staff didn't speak any English but they called a very friendly waitress across who was able to explain what the deal was. My mum doesn't eat onions or garlic and she confirmed they don't use them. I am vegan she helpfully pointed out items that aren't suitable (pizza, salad dressing, and she confirmed no eggs in the fried rice or paratha). We were lucky that this waitress spoke English as otherwise communication could be an issue. The restaurant is bright and airy so quite pleasant to sit in. Found the food good. Wasn't incredible but I did enjoy it. There is a strange combination of a few western fast food style items (fries, pasta, pizza, as well as lots of Chinese items). Tea is included. I liked the sweet aubergine, and spicy Sichuan style bean sprouts and mushroom dish. There was also a nice lotus root dish. Had a small bowl of sweet corn soup. Wasn't fussed by the desserts. Note they have redone their menu, which is ring bound to a pretty wooden board, indicating which items contain milk although they don't have a similar marker for egg. Buffet available during the week only.

Not as large as other buffets in hk, but has a selection of mostly Chinese oriented (only the pizza was western.) none of the items are marked, so it is hard to know what vegan is. eating was in order, some dishes great, some not-so-great. busy at lunchtime you might have to share a table with strangers.

This is one of two vegetarian restaurants near our apartment, so we checked it for lunch. when we checked out the dishes offered at the buffet, we saw a cheese pizza and an salad with a white creamy sauce. we asked the staff if they could help identify which dishes were “vegan” and gave them a card that explains in Chinese, which dishes are not vegan, like cheese and eggs. after reading the card assured me that everything was vegan! when I asked about the pizza, they said, oh wait she has cheese.. so that is no vegan, but everything else is! When I asked about the salat, they realized that it had Mayo/Kream on it, which is not vegan again. I'm not sure if the personal is simply not familiar with the vegan concept or simply not. in any case I would stay away from here and would give it 1 star if the app let me!

I had a friend in Cantonese asking what items were vegan or not. they hinted at a court on the buffet that apparently had an egg in it, but there were at least 4 others that I could see visible were not vegan (I saw pizza, mayo on salat, etc. I had another friend asking another worker and she still did not seem to know or care. I was very comprehensible to try everything from the buffet! I also asked a coworker at the theke over whom Jar was soy sauce, and he literally looked at me and went away. the food I eat was not amazing and there are so many other sweets I would rather visit in hongkong.
