Bidrage med feedbackEating was amazing! I have to say, when I first came in, the room felt a little strange, and no one welcomed us. but then I realized that they had to do a part of the restaurant for the Latin dance later in the night, so it's cool: eating here was absolutely wonderful! that must try is the “make ur own guacamole”, it is just so damn delicious! the avocados were perfect, and there were many different seasons, it is the best guacamole I have! the other foods were also beautiful! the place is a bit hard to find as google map not really showing the exact location, but it is just about the fringe club.
Although it is somewhat overpriced, it is in fact a chill restaurant. server are friendly and patient. seats are spacious, atmosphere is relaxing with chill music, fantastic. eat super, we ordered laughs, pigeons and baked whole pumpkin dish with seafood, tastes not bad, but booze is quite dry. dessert is in order, chocolate fondue is excellent as they add a little alcohol in the chocolate soou yummmy, but the chocolate cake is sooo dry and very simple, tastes sweet.
This is my second time to visit this restaurant and I am always pleasantly surprised with the level of customer service and food quality. this time we have designed their guacamole where they choose which ingredients they want in it, signature ceviche court with fresh sea bass, Argentinean empanadas that were delicious, and the tacos. I would come back to try another food in the restaurant! also, they do free salsa dancing class weekly nights and it is definitiw a fun place to relax and learn about.
Nice place and environment, Latin concept, I come from a Latin country so I was very disappointed with the food in this place. I would love to have really good Latin food in Hong Kong. All the plates we had was not really tasty. Chicken was over cooked, ceviche not good, even the panela con limón wasn’t like we expected. Love the music they played and the very attentive staff. Prices was ok. Not too expensive and the dishes are very generous portions.
Warning: Picada is CASH ONLY! Went for Taco Tuesday, around HKD 207 per person (including service charge for the food alone, no drinks. I was quite excited at first, since I hadn 't had tacos in a while, but once again, I was let down... Chips and salsa were great, they had about 4 5 baskets for 10 people. We ordered 10 tacos of each kind El burrito (which was the taco of the day , Pork Carnitas, Veggie, Beef, and Chicken. First round, the filing was miniscule! It was as if someone had taken a half cup of filling, rationing the portions, for 10 tortillas. After one bite, and you were only left with tortilla. It was absurd! We didn 't want to fill ourselves up with tortilla and so started to tear some unnecessary off, unfinished. To make things worse, they also did not toast or heat up the tortilla. They were not warm and could break easily. No Bueno! We asked if they could do so the next round, and they still didn 't follow our request. They also used smaller tortillas, considering we weren 't finishing the larger corn ones. Talk about skimping on quality and quantity! During our third round, they finally heated up the tortillas but at this point we were pretty spent and disappointed. If not eaten right away, they hardened and did not taste good anymore. One of my friends arrived late and also went for the AYCE Taco Tuesday deal and she got DOUBLE the quantity we were served for our tacos! So stingy of them! The churros, while they looked nice, were also a disappointment. They were too tough and doughy, not light and crunchy. There was no chocolate dip on the side, just a smidgen of dulce de leche. Pretty disappointed with the cash only deal (it 's not like there is an ATM nearby... and the quantity/quality of food served. My friend did warn me that Picada was overpriced and not worth the food. I should have listened to him. Won 't be returning for sure.
