Wow! I had heard that Rodney Scott knew his way around BBQ, but tasting is believing! The 14-year old even said, "These are the BEST ribs I 've ever Eaten!, and growing up in Birmingham, he 's had quite a few ribs! I was in town for work and Rodney Scott's was just a short walk from the hotel. I ate there for lunch one day and dinner the next. For lunch, I had the turkey sandwich and it was smokey, moist and delicious. It could use some acid in the form of either pickles and/or onion, but it just comes plain with white sauce. Unbelievable brisket sandwich for lunch today. This is the first time I?ve been to this place and it definitely will not be the last time. If you?re in the Homewood area, you need to stop by this place.

Had the whole hog pork plate with slaw. This is the go to item was good, not spectacular as it was a touch dry. Sauces were real tasty and had the right balance between spice and sweet. Ultimately, the sauces brought up the taste of the pork. Atmosphere was a bit subdued because it was Monday night Definitely worth coming back to try more meat options!
