Checkers - Homestead

Zero stars. I must say, do not eat here—you will be disappointed. The woman who opened the window looked miserable and was quite rude. As soon as the window opened, a strong odor of old fryer oil hit me, as if the equipment hadn't been cleaned in weeks! The smell was overwhelmingly intense. After waiting about five minutes for my order, a man handed me the food, and I could smell the unpleasant odor coming from the bag immediately. When I opened it, the fries were extremely dark, tasted terrible, and were absolutely inedible. This poses a serious safety and health risk for both employees and customers! I came here specifically for their delicious fries and ended up deeply disappointed.

Drive past this place and don’t stop! It seems that poor quality is not an issue in this neighborhood, leading to a dismal dining experience. I ordered a 5-piece chicken combo, a number 1, large, with a strawberry soda. The highlight of the meal was the drink. The salad and tomatoes were wilted and old. The burger patties and fries were stone cold. The fries usually have some flavor, but last night they just seemed like stale leftovers that had been reheated. If you’re looking for good food, take a drive to Checkers. Head north on US-1 to SW 168 Street. They even charge 75 cents for a small ranch dressing for your sides. I truly hope this place goes out of business.

This particular Checkers was an absolute nightmare. It's by far the slowest restaurant I've ever been to. The staff seemed unmotivated and lacked any energy. The manager appeared indifferent and disconnected from what was happening. They clearly don’t understand their roles. I would never return to this location. Food rating: 1/5.

I love absolutely every schecker and rally burger I have ever been, but now I live in marathon florida, which is in the Florida keys and we have no so every time I land, that is the first place I met!?

New automated ordering is ok. Fine things like no lettuce and stuff it doesn't compute but overall better than someone who sounds like they don't want to be there. Management was engaging and nice. Food still needs some work. I ordered 6 sandwiches, 4 of them fried chicken and fish and they were not hot at all. Edible and still good tasting but temp wise needs some work, over all, a great improvement.
