Phi Banh Mi - Hoi An

Found this place cause I read a blog saying it was the best Banh Mi in Vietnam. Expectations were met. It was really tasty. Switched the cheese out for avocado and went with the chilli sauce option. Family owned, like having lunch in someone's living room amongst wedding photos and house pets (Massive iguana in a small tank! In case that makes you feel uncomfortable)

The staff is super nice and very quick! the restaurant itself has just a few tables and is in typical vietnamese restaurant style. they have only one vegetarian option, you can swap the cheese with avocado to make it vegan. the sandwich is quite simple, but the sauce makes it special and delicious!

Super tasty Banh Mi packed full of stuff. Comes with lots of salad, super tasty chilli sauce, tofu and avocado! She knew what vegan was straight away, super quick service and tastes so good. Only down side is they have a VERY large pet reptile/lizard thing that is either sat on a pedi stool out the front of the shop or locked in a very small cage inside the shop. Just a heads up if that would make you feel uncomfortable!

Tofu, cheese, egg options with 5K extra for avocado. Tasty and cheap. Only complaint is we sat on the table next to the reptile who was trying to move about in his little cage and couldn’t even turn around. He got stuck for several minutes and then gave up. Made me sad

The place looks very homey. Asked for the vegetarian banh without cheese and the owner immediately said he would put avocado instead, and said the word vegan, so he seemed to know veganism. Service was fast and food was cheap. The banh was very tasty
