Typical family restaurant in the typical german village. For those who know only the the street number as a address, the place could not be very easy to find. You may choose the outdoor sitting, which could be very good idea, because the nearest restaurant's surroundings are separated from main pedestrian zone by range of buildings. Thus, sitting at the table only a little of eyes watch what you eat. The staff is extremely helpful and hospitable. Menu is short but everybody could find something for himself. Definitely, I could recommend that restaurant.

Die Scheuer has provided a takeout menu during the Covid-19 crisis. The food is always top; I love the Feld Salat. Friendly service, great food.

Obviously a great favorite of locals because they were very busy yet took great care to make our experience a special one.

...the food is really ok in taste...but nothing out of this world, and the portions are really small...take a little bit of salad with 2 2cm diameter pumpkin slices and some pumpkin cream on top plus some goat cheese on the side for over 15 Euros...or a super-frozen, in alcohol bathing soufflé for 12 Euro...you pay 80 Euros for 2 (small) appetizers, 1 dessert, a glass of wine and 2 bottles of water...usually not too much of an issue if the food is really really extraordinary. In this case...too expensive.

Been there many times and have never been disappointed. The menu changes and some dishes are truly excellent. The wine list covers all your needs and the service has never let us down. Also recommend outdoor seating during the summer.
